[ Since 1969 ]
Lettering Auckland by hand since 1969.
Brian Osmand opened the workshop in 1969. More than fifty years on, the doors are still open and the work is still made by hand.
Between the team there’s over 75 years of combined experience on the floor — sign-writers, fabricators, and installers who take a job from first sketch to final fix. Gold leaf and a steady brush when the work calls for it; routers, laser cutters, and large-format printers when it doesn’t.
And the same hands that letter a shopfront now build for the screen — set pieces and props for film and television, alongside the giant promotional builds brands come to Osmand for.
What holds
Made by hand
Every job still passes through someone’s hands. That hasn’t changed since 1969, and it’s why the work reads the way it does.
Concept to install, under one roof
Design, build, and fit all happen in the same workshop. One team owns the whole job, so nothing gets lost between trades.
The right technique, old or new
Gold leaf or LED, brush or laser — we pick the method the job needs, not the one that’s quickest.
